How to Perform Factory Reset Your HTC One

HTC One provides its users an incomparable performance and excellent lifetime companionship. It will serve you as long as you let it serve you. Many times while using your stylish Smartphone, you may need to factory reset your HTC One.

If you want to perform the process of “Factory Reset” in HTC One, you need to save all of your personal data and then repair the major issues occurring with your stylish and advanced Smartphone because all of the data saved on your device will vanish once you perform the task of “Factory Reset” in your Smartphone. It will delete all of your personal files, media files and applications saved on your device. So it is advised to you to save your data securely before performing the process of “Factory Reset”.
What Type of Data will be Vanished By Factory Reset
When you want to perform the process of “Factory Reset”, the following data will be vanished from your HTC One.
  • The details about your Google Account will be removed.
  • Accounts saved in “Accounts & Sync” and the data of these accounts will be vanished.
  • Your personal data, profile, messages, email, contacts, calender events and many other things will be removed.
  • Data and system apps and settings will be vanished.
  •  The apps you downloaded from the internet will also be removed.

How to Do a Factory Reset on Your HTC One

There are basically two ways to perform this process. Both of them have been discussed below for the ease and convenience of the users.

1) Do a Factory Reset Through “Settings”

Step 1: You need to go to the “Notifications” panel.
Step 2: Here, you will find the option “Backup & Reset” that should be clicked.
Step 3: Now you will see the option of “Reset Phone“. You need to select this option.
Step 4: If you want to delete some unnecessary data on your Smartphone, you can click the option “Erase all data”.
Step 5: Now you need to click “OK” to perform a factory reset.

2) Doing a Factory Reset Through Hardware Buttons

If you do not want to use “Settings” to do a Factory Reset, you can use the Hardware Buttons on your Smartphone.
Step 1: Push and keep holding the “Volume” down key and then push and keep holding the “Power” key for a few moments.
Step 2: You need to keep both of the keys holding down until three images of “Android” appear on the screen. Now release both of the buttons.
Step 3: Now again push the “Volume” down key and you will see the option of “Factory Reset”. You need to click on it and then push the “Power” button to perform the Factory Reset in your HTC One.
